Healing, Solutions, and Cute Charlie Pix

Yeah, that's gonna make a sexy scar. Sigh.
And insanely enough stitches come out on MONDAY. As in tomorrow.

Mama Cat no longer gets to sleep on the bed when I'm sleeping. Instead, I shut her up in the crate to prevent a repeat of the incident that led to me having four stitches in my face. I was worried about how she'd react to that, but as you can see, she goes in there all on her own.

And now: cute pictures of Charlie

Plastic surgeons like to take the stitches out quite early to minimize scarring (you probably also noticed they used pretty thin thread as well). I learned all this when my youngest daughter was in a wreck in '08 that put her head through the driver's side window of her car. The ER doc did a good job, but trying to find a plastic guy to take the case was nuts--none of them will take/work with auto insurance. Fortunately we had a friend who was a plastic surgeon who came to the house and worked on her for free until we found a regular plastic guy who'd take her case. If all goes well, there may not be a noticeable scar at all, unless, like most women, you excel at pointing out flaws that no one would've noticed until you drew attention to it...any way, I'm hoping for the best--a little white line that blends into your upper lip so perfectly that it looks like it belongs.
